- Financial Coaching
-
In order to start down the road to improved finances, potential
clients schedule a meeting with a financial coach. Prior to or at the
meeting, the potential client gives the coach financial information
for one year. At the meeting, the coach asks various questions. A
subsequent meeting is scheduled and a financial plan as well as fees
is presented. Typically, the two will meet monthly in order to ensure
implementation of the plan. Pre-client meetings cost $20 each, but if
this is objectionable due to low income or a severe financial
situation, potential clients may request a lowering of the fee. This
lowering is offered because we want to make sure that everyone can
afford a financial coach. Financial coaching is meant to be a
long-term relationship that will eventually lead to an ideal financial
condition.
- Implementation Service
-
Financial coaching is meant to be a team endeavor of both the
financial coach and the client. Improving ineffective financial habits
involves efforts on both sides. Indeed it involves changing entire
attitudes towards money and finances.
There are two cases when coaching is not the main focus.
1) Sometimes, additional, specific management of accounts and payments is
required. This is a separate service called "Implementation." If a
client feels such service is necessary, the coach and client discuss it as well
as the additional fee during the second meeting.
- 2) Sometimes, less coaching is needed. Some people have managed
their finances on their own, but simply wish to focus on other parts
of their life, leaving actual implementation of bill payment and
other financial transactions to Ideal Harbor. The fee for this is
less than that for coaching.

- Socially Responsible Investing Advice
-
Because Ideal Harbor Financial harbors many ideals about
business, the company wishes to help implement them via the power of
financial sources such as investing and spending. Some of these ideals
include:
- Improving rather than exploiting the corporate community (which
includes the community in which a business operates as well as
customers)
- Strong corporate governance and general culture of ethics
Part of Ideal Harbor Financial's strategy to implement these
socially responsible goals includes providing knowledge about
businesses and investments that share these goals. Eventually, such
information will be available at this part of the web site.
